The Town of Holden Beach Board of Commissioners will meet Tuesday, September 20 for a Public Hearing to close part of Carolina Avenue (between Jordan and Quinton) and for their regular monthly meeting.  Click here for the meeting packet.  Highlights include: 

  • Possible action to select an engineering firm for the Pier and Block Q plan development, click here to review submissions
  • Setting a date to fill the vacancy on the Board, click here for applications
  • Hearing from the Corps about increased duration, scope, costs ($1.25M) and potential funding options for CSRM Study 
  • Funding options for the Towns portion of upgrading the County’s biosolids at the wastewater treatment plant
  • Direction to issue an RFQ for a Stormwater Master Plan
  • Moving the public restrooms under the bridge to Block Q
  • Update on the Inlet Hazard Area boundary changes
  • Discussion and possible action to allow mats to the dry sand at some public accesses for handicap use and possibly for residential walkways
