Stage 1 Water Conservation Alert
As you may be aware, Brunswick County is currently under a Stage 1 Water Conservation Alert.
Residents are encouraged to avoid irrigating or using water unless it is for an essential need between the hours of 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. This is when there are peak demands on the system.
Customers are asked to defer non-essential water use (including lawn irrigation) to after nightfall.
The county recommends that customers use the following irrigation schedule to even out system demands (do not irrigate between 5 a.m. to 11 a.m.):
- Odd address numbers: Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday
- Even address numbers: Wednesday/Friday/Sunday
- No irrigation on Mondays
Residents will be notified if any other conservation measures are needed and when conditions dictate that restrictions are no longer required.
