Former Police Chief Raymond Simpson

The Town has been informed that Raymond Simpson, longtime former Police Chief of Holden Beach before retiring in 1991, passed away on December 31st in his home.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Springfield Baptist Church in High Point. Visitation will Monday evening from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Sechrest Funeral Service.

Just a quick thank you to Holden Beach folks for your kindness all these years to my dad, Chief Raymond Simpson and my step mom Ms. Betty Simpson and my brother Randy and I. We all love and miss Holden Beach so much as our feet are still firmly planted in the sand 🙂 We’ll miss the times there and especially the great Holden Beach people; who are the very best anywhere. Dad lived a very full and busy life with Betty at Holden Beach. Blessings to you all and we ALL miss Holden Beach! Mitch Simpson
